إلغاء جوازات السفر اللبنانية من الأنموذج "٢٠٠٣" الغير بيومترية
عند دخول حامليها إلى الأراضي اللبنانية "RL" تعلن المديرية العامة للأمن العام أنّه، واعتباراً من تاريخه، سيصار إلى إلغاء جوازات السفر اللبنانية من الأنموذج "٢٠.٣" الغير بيومترية، أي تلك التي تبدأ أرقامها التسلسلية بعبارة
ويأتي هذا الإجراء في ضوء اعتماد وثائق السفر البيومترية على الصعيد الدولي، وعدم قبول العديد من الدول لهذه الجوازات لإنجاز إجراءات الدخول أو العبور، وذلك انسجاماً مع المعايير والمواصفات المعتمدة من قبل منظمة الطيران (ICAO) المدني الدولي
عليه، تدعو المديرية العامة للأمن العام جميع المواطنين اللبنانيين حاملي جوازات السفر من الأنموذج ٢٠٠٣٠" إلى المبادرة بالتقدّم من الدوائر والمراكز الإقليمية التابعة لها لاستبدالها بجوازات سفر لبنانية بيومترية جديدة، تفادياً لأي تأخير أو عوائق قد تواجههم أثناء السفر
كما تعلم المديرية العامة للأمن العام أنه اعتباراً من تاريخ ١/١٠/٢.٢٦ . يتوقف العمل داخل البلاد بجوازات السفر اللبنانية من الأنموذج "٢..٣"، ويمنع من مغادرة الأراضي اللبنانية بموجبها
